IOF TROOPS START FIRE DESTROY 130 PALESTINIAN OLIVE TREES

NABLUS, (PIC)-- IOF soldiers started fire in a Palestinian farmer's cultivated land east of Nablus city that led to the destruction of 130 fruitful olive trees, the land owner Hussein Qassem said.

Qassem, 60, said that his piece of land was only meters away from an IOF training camp and near a settlement that was established on his village Deir Al-Hatab's lands since 1980.

The Nablus firefighters, who were summoned to the place, were obstructed by the IOF for an hour.

The blaze ate up all the trees that are more than 20 years old.

Earlier on Thursday, the IOF command announced that 8 Palestinians were rounded up in various West Bank areas.

In the Gaza Strip, local sources said that IOF navy ships arrested two Palestinian fishermen off the Rafah coast, south of the Strip, on Wednesday night.
